Resource planning community engagement workshops

Our technical working group, the Resource Planning Advisory Group, engages with members from municipalities, government, Indigenous communities, customer associations and environmental organizations for input into long term resource plans.

We also host community engagement workshops throughout BC to offer opportunities for stakeholder feedback on resource planning. Key participants in these engagement workshops may include:

  • Indigenous and municipal community leaders
  • community and facility planners and managers
  • real estate builders and developers
  • energy and sustainability professionals
  • local businesses and business associations

If you find yourself among the types of key participants listed above, we’ll be hosting a number of community engagement workshops to gather your feedback. We’re ready to listen and learn.

Before you sign up for a session, here’s an idea of some of the topics we may be discussing:

  • energy policy in British Columbia and CleanBC
  • community and business growth plans
  • challenges and opportunities for BC’s energy systems
  • electric and natural gas vehicles
  • other emerging and potential load drivers
  • renewable energy supply options
  • how FortisBC might better meet your specific needs
