Helping your customers apply for rebates online

Rebate applications are now accepted online. For customers needing assistance when applying for their rebate online, we’ve created a short how-to guide. Please share the guides below with your customers.

How to clock the Sonix IQ advanced meters

Over the next few years, more than one million FortisBC gas customers will have their current gas meters upgraded to wireless advanced meters through our Gas Advanced Metering Infrastructure Project.

The process for clocking the new advanced gas meters is different from traditional diaphragm meters. We’ve compiled an information sheet to guide you through the new meter clocking process.

Changes to FortisBC gas rebates

In June 2023, the B.C. Government made a regulation change that ends our ability to offer rebates and incentives for gas equipment that’s less than 100 per cent energy efficient, including gas furnaces, boilers, combination systems, water heaters and fireplaces.

For more details about changes to current rebate programs, we’ve put together a short guide for you.

Heat load calculation requirements

To qualify for our dual fuel rebates, HVAC contractors must complete a heat load calculation for Home renovation dual fuel rebates, the Indigenous Communities Conservation Program and the Income-qualified dual fuel rebates.
