Ways to pay your bill

Make a payment on your natural gas or electricity bill quickly and conveniently. Choose what payment method is easiest for you.

Log in to your bank’s website or call their telephone banking number. You’ll need your FortisBC account number (found at the top of your bill) and our payee descriptor: either FortisBC natural gas or FortisBC electricity.

Pay your bill at your local bank or financial institution. You’ll need to have your bill when you make the payment.

You can pay your natural gas or electricity bill with MasterCard, Visa or Visa Debit using KUBRA EZ-PAY, a third-party credit card payment service (service fees will apply for each transaction).

You have two options to make a payment with KUBRA EZ-PAY.

Note: both options include service fees for each transaction you make.

Once you make a payment, you’ll get a confirmation number. Keep this number for future reference.

About the service fee

If you choose to pay by KUBRA EZ-PAY, you’ll be charged a service fee for each transaction:

  • 1.75% on the payment amount – if you use your Mastercard or Visa credit card
  • 0.75% on the payment amount – if you use your Visa debit card

You can also pay your bill by cheque and mail it to us, or use a drop box at one of the locations below.

When writing your cheque, be sure to include your FortisBC natural gas or electricity account number on the front of your cheque.

Take care of someone else’s account

We realize some customers may not be able to pay their bill due to age, illness or ability. If you help an elderly family member or dependent with their bill, we can add you to their account. Find out how.

Large print bills

Call us to request your bill in large print.

  • Natural gas customers: 1-888-224-2710, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Electricity customers: 1-866-436-7847, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
