New Home Program

Aligned with the BC Energy Step Code, the New Home Program provides builders with a choice between two rebate options when building high-performance homes using a FortisBC energy source. Additional rebates are also available for EnerChoice® natural gas fireplaces, drain water heat recovery systems and more.

For projects located in our natural gas service areas, connecting to our gas system will provide buyers access to renewable gas options. It’s all part of our 30BY30 goal to reduce customers’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30 per cent1 by the year 2030 and support the Province of BC’s CleanBC plan.

1 From 2007 levels.
