Working in your neighbourhood

We regularly maintain our infrastructure to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers. This includes upgrading electricity and natural gas lines – which may require crews to work along roads – as well as managing vegetation near our facilities and rights of way.

We appreciate your patience and co-operation as we try to minimize disruptions and complete the work in your neighbourhood as quickly and safely as possible.

Note: project details and dates are subject to change. Check your local traffic report for updates on roadwork in your area.

All communities

Aerial surveys

Project details: To make sure the gas system continues to operate safely and reliably, we’re performing aerial inspections of our transmission lines.

Our helicopter contractors, Talon Helicopters and LaSen Inc., will perform aerial inspections of our gas lines throughout the province.

The companies are permitted by Transport Canada to fly at low levels, which allows them to inspect lines that previously had to be inspected by foot. The helicopter will pass through communities starting in late September for approximately three weeks. Flight time over a single area will be minimal.

This routine work is part of our integrity management system, which includes detection and remediation activities among other steps to ensure public safety. We appreciate your patience as we work to complete the inspections safely and as quickly as possible.
