HVAC controls rebates

1. You must be a FortisBC natural gas customer under any rate class except Rate 1 and/or a commercial or industrial FortisBC electricity customer or municipal electricity customer of Grand Forks, Penticton, Summerland or Nelson Hydro.
2. You must be a long-term leaseholder of an existing commercial or industrial building, or a builder/developer or owner of a new commercial or industrial construction project.
3. You must submit an application and supporting documentation no later than 365 days after the purchase date of the product(s) (as shown on the paid invoice) or installation date, whichever is first.

Product eligibility

Connected thermostats

• primary heating system’s energy source must be supplied by FortisBC*
• thermostat must be listed on our qualified products list or be certified by ENERGY STAR® as a connected or smart thermostat

Domestic hot water recirculation controls

• domestic hot water system’s energy source must be supplied by FortisBC*
• controls must be listed on our qualified product list

* Includes Grand Forks, Penticton, Summerland and Nelson Hydro.

• Purchase and install eligible equipment/products. Note: some products may be eligible for point-of-sale FortisBC rebates. Visit our Trade Ally Network equipment supplier directory and look for this   icon.
• Alternatively, apply online for HVAC controls rebates with the following information:
  • your FortisBC electricity account number or municipal account number from Penticton, Summerland, Grand Forks or Nelson Hydro
  • your email
  • scanned or pdf copies of all paid receipts for the purchase and installation of products relevant to the rebate you are applying for
• Ensure all receipts are marked “paid,” clear, legible, itemized and indicate relevant information such as brand, model number and any other required information in your application.
