Gas marketer complaints

If you do not have a contract with a gas marketer but wish to log a complaint about a gas marketer’s business practices, you can do so at the BCUC website.

Gas marketer contract disputes

If you have a gas marketer contract and would like to either dispute the contract’s validity, view your open dispute details or upload supporting or rebuttal evidence, you can do so by following the steps below.

The independent dispute process lets you file a contract dispute against your gas marketer. If you have a concern or problem, you should first attempt to resolve it by contacting your gas marketer directly.

Please note: FortisBC is not a party to your gas marketer dispute. Our role is only to ensure your dispute is referred to the BC Utilities Commission (BCUC) for mediation and adjudication.

Logging an online dispute

  1. Please read the Guide to logging a dispute.
  2. Log a dispute.

Alternatively, you can log a dispute by calling 1-888-224-2710, Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and a customer service representative will assist you.

If you have an open dispute, you can: 

  1. Log in to view your dispute
  2. Submit your supporting or rebuttal evidence by:
