Electrical Contractor Program

Connecting you with contractors

Looking for a professional to install or service electrical heating systems and appliances or upgrade your lighting?

Search our directory* to find a knowledgeable local contractor to guide you through the latest FortisBC rebates, offers and energy-saving technologies for your home or business.

Begin by selecting your city/town from the drop-down menu. Select whether you are looking for a residential, commercial or industrial contractor and then refine your search by selecting the services and products you need.

The results are presented in random order with five contractors listed per page.

About the program

Whether building or renovating, you’ll need the services of a contractor* that hires professionally trained workers and certified electricians to install your equipment.

We developed the FortisBC Electrical Contractor Program to help you find contractors for the products and services you need. Contractors listed in our directory:

  • possess a minimum of $2 million liability and third-party insurance
  • have a business licence for each community they operate in
  • have been in business for a minimum of one year
  • are informed about energy-efficiency rebates

Deciding who should install your equipment

A good contractor will provide you with a written quote that includes a clear outline of the costs and work involved. We recommend you get a minimum of three quotes before deciding on which contractor to use. And remember, the contractor offering the lowest price may not necessarily be the best.

Selecting the right equipment for your home or business

Before making your final decision about what products and services you require, contact a FortisBC Electrical Contractor Program member. Talking about your lifestyle and/or daily routines will help your contractor recommend what’s right for your home and family, or business. Making the right decision now could help you save money and time in the future.
