SightCall Terms & Conditions

Using SightCall allows a FortisBC technician to help you determine whether your appliances are self-igniting or have a pilot that needs to be relit.  If you have a piloted appliance, the FortisBC technician can walk you through relighting your appliances using the manufacturer’s instructions.  If your appliances are self-igniting, the technician can assist you in resetting your appliance.  
 
By clicking on the link/downloading the app, you agree that FortisBC is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, costs or injury resulting from you relighting your piloted appliances or resetting your self-igniting appliances, or your use of SightCall.  

Privacy

By clicking on the link/downloading the app, you will start a video call.  Details of the call, including your name and other personal information will be retained by FortisBC in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is what applies in any dealings you have with us and which can be found here and technical data including location will be retained by the supplier of the technology that enables the call, SightCall.  The contents of the video call will not be recorded and retained, but will be seen by the FortisBC technician.   To protect your privacy we recommend that you take care when on the video call and focus the camera only on the appliance you will be relighting. 

Security

The Internet may not be a secure medium and you use SightCall at your own risk and agree to assume the risks associated with the transmission or loss of any data, including the interception of data or information by third parties.
