Connect to natural gas: space and water heating rebates

Connect to natural gas and replace your oil or propane primary space heating system with an eligible ENERGY STAR® high-efficiency natural gas furnace, boiler or combination heating and hot water system, and you could get a rebate of up to $1,700—while reducing your carbon emissions and your monthly energy bills.

Further reduce your carbon footprint by signing up for carbon-neutral Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), 1 available to customers connected to our natural gas system. RNG is easy to sign up for, and it works seamlessly with regular natural gas appliances.

  1. You must receive a pre-qualification code before installing your upgrades.
  2. Program is for existing homes only and is not available for new construction.
  3. Only one Connect to Gas rebate per appliance or system is available. Note: if installing a natural gas water heater or a P9 certified combination heating and hot water system, an additional rebate may be available through our natural gas high-efficiency water heater rebates.
  4. You must apply for your Connect to Gas rebate within 90 days of the paid invoice date.

1Renewable Natural Gas is produced in a different manner than conventional natural gas. It is derived from biogas, which is produced from decomposing organic waste from landfills, agricultural waste and wastewater from treatment facilities. The biogas is captured and cleaned to create carbon-neutral Renewable Natural Gas (also called biomethane).
