BC Home Energy Coach

​The BC Home Energy Coach provides homeowners and contractors with access to free advice and resources on how to save energy during all stages of a home improvement project.

If you’re a resident or owner of a single family home, townhome or row home, you can use this service to get advice on:

  • accessing rebates, incentives and financing
  • options to help reduce your home energy bills
  • options to help reduce your home greenhouse gas emissions
  • the benefits of improved home energy efficiency
  • choosing the right energy-saving upgrades
  • selecting the right contractors for your project

The BC Home Energy Coach is a free service funded by the B.C. Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. BC Hydro and FortisBC, although not funding or administering this initiative, are supportive of its purpose, and are providing promotion through marketing and outreach channels. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia in this initiative.

The service provides homeowners and contractors with advice and guidance on energy-efficient home renovations. This can include answering simple questions about rebates or providing detailed technical advice regarding the energy-efficiency measures to be implemented. FortisBC makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy or applicability of the advice or guidance provided through this service. Users should note that the BC Home Energy Coach is administered and delivered by a third party, City Green Solutions.

The BC Home Energy Coach is for informative purposes only. Actual results, energy savings and rebates may differ due to fuel costs, installation, lifestyle, energy-efficiency measures incorporated and any changes to applicable rebate programs. You are responsible for your renovation and energy-efficiency measures implemented.
