Liquefied natural gas

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been cooled to a low temperature of -162°C to become a liquid. 

FortisBC is the owner and operator of the only two LNG facilities in British Columbia – the Tilbury Island facility in Delta since 1971 and the Mt. Hayes facility near Ladysmith on Vancouver Island since 2011.
