Moving? New accounts, stop or move service

Need to move your service or set up a new account?

Moving your FortisBC account or setting up a new account is easy with our online form.

Note: if you’re an existing customer registered for Account Online, it will be quicker to complete your move request there. Log in to Account Online.

Before you begin

Please ensure your request is submitted at least two business days in advance of your move. Also, you’ll need to provide the account holder’s birthdate and one of the following pieces of identification:

  • driver’s licence number
  • BC identification number
  • passport number

Note: if you have both natural gas and electricity accounts with FortisBC, you will need to complete the online form for both accounts. Learn more about our electricity service area in the Southern Interior.
