Project management

Project management is often a natural extension of engineering, particularly if you have an organizational mind and refined communication skills. The success of our projects depends on skilled and creative management, so at FortisBC there are rewarding long-term career opportunities in project management.

If you’re a recent engineering graduate, the Engineer-in-Training program helps you gain practical experience toward registering as a professional engineer and develop a comprehensive understanding of our business.

“The Engineer-in-Training program gave me a broad-based foundation for my career path at FortisBC. I was exposed to a variety of departments in Engineering and Operations in a relatively short period of time, and it helped me make a better decision about where I wanted to be. To this day, I constantly refer back to what I learned as an EIT.”

Ferenc, Director of Operations, Metro Vancouver and Interior North, and Engineer-in-Training graduate
