What information do I need to get started?
New gas service - Include the following when you submit your application:
- The quantity, BTU load and type of gas appliances to be connected
- The inlet delivery pressure (available from your natural gas contractor)
- The name and phone number of your natural gas contractor
New gas meter - Include the following when you submit your application:
- The quantity, BTU load and type of gas appliances to be connected
- The inlet delivery pressure (available from your natural gas contractor)
- The name and phone number of your natural gas contractor
Residential customers:

Minimum scheduling lead times are:
- Lower Mainland: 3 weeks
- Interior: 3 – 4 weeks
- Vancouver Island/Sunshine Coast: 4 – 6 weeks
The above are minimum suggested lead times. Some circumstances may require longer lead times than stated. These circumstances include site visits, permits, or additional design for complex service installations. Please remember, it is always better to apply too early than not early enough.
Builders & developers: new subdivisions, town house complexes, strip malls, residential / commercial mixed use, new mobile home parks.
Note: If a gas main extension is required to service your premise(s) you can expect the lead time to increase to over 13 weeks due to the complexity of the extension.
