FortisBC has reached a labour agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the union representing the company’s 550 natural gas field employees.
The new collective agreement extends to March 31, 2015.
FortisBC is pleased to have reached this agreement to ensure certainty and stability for its employees and natural gas customers.
The IBEW 213 represents FortisBC employees working primarily in gas distribution and transmission including functions such as installations, emergency response and the repair and maintenance of the gas pipeline system.
