How geoexchange works

A proven renewable energy solution

Geoexchange systems provide the heating and cooling your project needs by using solar heat stored in the earth, either just below the frost line or in a body of water.

Heat pumps draw heat from the ground to warm buildings in colder months, while the cooler ground is used as a heat sink in warmer months to cool buildings. The size of the geoexchange system for your project is determined by the amount of energy required and there are a wide variety of system options that can be included:

  • Forced-air heating
  • Radiant floor heating
  • Hot water baseboards
  • Domestic hot water heating
  • Air conditioning
  • Swimming pool heating

From multifamily residential projects to commercial and industrial buildings, geoexchange systems are ideal for supplying energy to spaces of all types and sizes.
