And, with heating and cooling costs accounting for up to 60% of your home energy bill, taking advantage of energy efficient technologies and solutions can mean real savings on your energy bill.
There are a range of options available. We recommend that customers work directly with LiveSmart BC so that they are eligible for a subsidy for a pre-retrofit home energy assessment by a certified energy advisor which can qualify them for greater incentives.
For customers that prefer to work with FortisBC directly, FortisBC offers incentives for various energy efficient upgrades like heat pumps, insulation and lighting. Customers can get also a loan from FortisBC and apply for the LiveSmart incentives, although they will be lower.
