Warm Hearts
Since it was founded 13 years ago, our employee run charitable foundation has donated close to $500,000 to over 70 charities across BC. The foundation supports the communities where we live and work, from hospitals and hospices to shelters and youth centers.
The Environmental Community Outreach Program
Our Environmental Community Outreach (ECO) Program provides opportunities to collaborate with local environmental groups. As a socially and environmentally responsible company, we support the ECO program to help develop local environmental knowledge and establish networks in the environmental community.
GasLite Social Club
Our GasLite Social Club organizes and sponsors social events throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to socialize and network with other employees. The GasLite Social Club also organizes employee discounts for a variety of goods and services.
Toastmasters Club
FortisBC is a proud sponsor of the Toastmasters Club at our Surrey Operations Centre. As a well-recognized international organization, Toastmasters helps people overcome a fear of public speaking and improve their presentation skills in a lively, fun and supportive environment. Toastmasters also helps develop personal and workplace leadership skills.
