Bringing natural gas customer service home to BC

As of January 1, customers who call us about moving, billing, meter reading or a new account, are speaking to a FortisBC employee located at one of our
two new customer service centres—one in Burnaby and the other in Prince George.

“Bringing our natural gas customer service in-house means we continue to meet our customers’ growing energy needs locally and cost-effectively,” said Tom Loski, vice president, customer service, FortisBC. “The advantages are clear. Customers receive more responsive and direct service while communities gain the
economic stimulus that comes from creating more than 300 new jobs.”

In 2011, employees underwent rigorous training to ensure customers would continue to receive the quality service they expect. Our Construction Services Contact Centre still operates out of our Surrey location. When you call, (1-888-224-2710) they can provide information and services related to meter upgrades, main extensions and service line installations and alterations. Hours are Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
